Hi Stamping Friends,
Today I’m sharing a very simple masculine card inspired by this week’s sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches – FMS265. I used the very versatile set called From Land To Sea. For the sea turtle, I stamped the image on Watercolor Paper using Stazon ink. I then used the Aqua Painter and Always Artichoke, Sahara Sand and So Saffron inks to color it. Other images from the set are stamped in VersaMark on the card front. After coloring the turtle, I die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies. Happy Birthday is from the B.Y.O.P. stamp set. Hope you like it. It was very fast and easy.

Based on this sketch…
The Watercolor Paper has such a great texture and using the Stitched Shapes Framelits looks awesome with it. I also added a little clear Wink of Stella * to the turtle. Click on any of the images below to go to my store for a close up look.
You will need to use a permanent ink, such as Stazon, when watercoloring your images.
When adding * Wink of Stella to your work, be sure your ink is dry. Otherwise, the ink might bleed and the colors will become muddy. Also, if you are coloring multiple colors, start with the lightest color and work towards the darkest. You may want to clean your brush off, by just brushing back and forth on scrap paper, to remove any excess ink you might pick up.
