Hi Stampers!
Yes, I still live and breathe. I've not had a moment to blog and I miss you all. Here's a quick card with minimal stamping that I made for a sketch challenge over on SUDSOL, a site for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. I love, love, love the Holiday Lounge Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!.
The card base uses Sahara Sand card stock. The next layer is Whisper White. Then, I added a layer from the Holiday Lounge DSP. The Square Rhinestone brads are from the Ice Collection. I added strip of 1/4" Whisper White grosgrain ribbon.
One of the designer papers has different size trees, so I cut out the smallest one and layered it on Whisper White and cut again leaving a small border. I wrapped it with Silver Elastic cord. You need to secure it firmly on the back, because it does have a mind of its own...LOL. I added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the tree and adhered it to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Merry Christmas comes from the set, Teeny Tiny Wishes, my favorite go-to set for greetings. This is stamped in Taken With Teal Classic Ink. That's it! So easy!
I will had a layer of Whisper White to the inside, stamping a sentiment in Taken with Teal, and adding a strip of coordinating Designer Series Paper from the same set to accent. I still love the traditional colors of Christmas, but the Holiday Lounge DSP has a real WOW factor to it! I love it! Click on the photo below for a larger image. You can see they are all quite festive. Here is a card using another of the papers in this collection.
