Greenhouse Garden for Friend

Hi Stampers,

I made this card for a friend while I was testing out some One Sheet Wonder ideas. I love the Stampin’ Up! set Greenhouse Garden. It’s a two-step type of stamp set. In case you are not familiar with two-step stamping, these sets will usually include a solid image stamp and then a line detail stamp. I was inspired by a card I saw on the Color Q Challenge blog.

The card base is made using Pumpkin Pie card stock. Greenhouse Garden Friend-crThe next layer is Whisper White card stock. I thought I would add some texture to this layer, so I used the Stampin’ Up! Lattice Square Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the Big Shot. At the same time, I ran a piece of Old Olive card stock through the folder to add texture to this strip.

The floral piece is from a One Sheet Wonder I was working on. I used Whisper White card stock for this. First, I stamped the large floral image in Riding Hood Red Classic ink in several places, stamping off first. I also stamped one on a piece of Whisper White scrap paper to cut out later. I stamped the detail stamp in the full color.

Baja Breeze Classic ink is stamped off for the next flower and I stamped several randomly around the piece. Then I took the coordinating line image and stamped the details without stamping off.

The small flower is stamped in two colors – Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive Classic inks. Both colors were stamped the same way, stamped off for the sold image and full color for the detail. This panel is layered on Baja Breeze card stock. This is attached to the card using SNAIL Adhesive.

I trimmed the flower on the scrap with my Paper Snips and added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back. A half-back white pearl from the retired Pretties Kit is added with a Mini Glue Dot. Set this aside for now.

The greeting is from the stamp set All Holidays. I used Stampin’ Write markers in Old Olive, Baja Breeze, Pumpkin Pie and Riding Hood Red to color directly to the stamp. Don’t forget to “huff” to add moisture back to the ink to get a nice image. This is layered on Pumpkin Pie card stock and attached to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Now you can add your flower in the corner.
