Print Poetry DSP Meets Perfectly Penned

 

Hi Stamping Friends,

Here's a card I made for this week's Technostamper's TSSC255 Sketch.

The Spring Catalog has a really nice pack of designer paper called Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack on Pg. 16.  This card showcases one of them.

The card base is Very Vanilla card stock.  In the next element, I've layered Midnight Muse and Gumball Green card stocks and the Poetry Print Designer Series Paper.  

A piece of Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon is added.  This piece is attached to the card front using a generous amount of SNAIL Adhesive.

The greeting is from the set, Perfectly Penned, and is stamped on Very Vanilla card stock using Midnight Muse Classic Ink.  This piece is layered on Midnight Muse card stock and attached to the card front using SNAIL Adhesive.

I die cut flowers using the Floral Fusion Sizzlit in Midnight Muse and Summer Starfruit card stocks.  I punched a smaller flower using a punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and added as contrast to the Floral Fusions.  I used the Paper Piercing Tool on the flowers and added Metallic Brads in Gold.  I die cut leaves from the Little Leaves Sizzlit and Gumball Green card stock. 

Here's a look at the other patterns in the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack.  The paper measures 4-1/2" x 6-1/2".  There are 48 sheets, 4 each of 12 double-sided designs.

Rain or Shine Meets TSST#105

Hi Stamping Friends,

Here's a card I made for the TSST #105 Sketch Challenge.  I thought it was really cute!

The card base is Whisper White card stock.  The next layer up is Marina Mist card stock.  Then, I ran another piece of Whisper White card stock through the Big Shot using the Cloudy Day Embossing Folder.  This embossing folder has the clouds going in a horizontal position, so I couldn't fit the entire piece in the folder.  It worked out perfectly, because I had a flat space to add the greeting.

I added a strip of the really cute Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper from the Spring Catalog.

I punched a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock using the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch.  Then, I took a thin scrap of card stock and attached it to the scallop circle to create a "handle".  I positioned it back in the punch and offset it a little bit and punched again to make the "sun".  It's attached using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The stamp set is called Rain or Shine.  I stamped the umbrella top and handle on Whisper White card stock in Marina Mist Classic Ink.  I stamped the umbrella top on scrap Whisper White and trimmed it out using Paper Snips.  I added some rain drops from the same set in Marina Mist.  This is layered on a piece of Marina Mist card stock.  The umbrella top is attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Three Jewels Basic Rhinestones are added in the corner. 

Since the sun is attached with Dimensionals, I only added Dimensionals to the right side of the focal image to even it out.

'Thoughts of you...' is also from the Rain or Shine set and is stamped in Marina Mist.

Hearts A Flutter Meets Teeny Tiny Wishes

Hi Stamping Friends,

Here's a card I made using this week's challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches.  I chose my colors based on the More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper.

The card base is Basic Gray card stock.  I punched a strip of Real Red card stock using the Scallop Edge Border Punch and layered behind a strip of More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I used the a Hearts Collection Framelit to die cute the Real Red Heart.  I stamped Very Vanilla card stock with two patterns from the Hearts A Flutter stamp set, one in Real Red and the other in Pool Party.  I die cut both of these with a smaller Hearts Collection Framelit.  Click on the photo for a closer look.

I added some paper-piercing on the heart and banner, as well as some scallop piercing down the right side of the More Amore Desiger Paper.

Jewels Basic Rhinestones add a little bling.

Perfectly Penned Doilies Meets MOJO271

Hi Stamping Friends,

I love the monochromatic look!  Here is a card I made using this weeks MojoMonday271 Sketch Challenge.  As always, all supplies are © Stampin' Up!

The card base is Crumb Cake card stock.  Next, I layered a piece of the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack (from the Holiday Catalog) on Very Vanilla card stock and attached to the card front using SNAIL Adhesive.

The greeting is from the stamp set, Perfectly Penned, and is stamped in Soft Suede Classic Ink on Very Vanilla card stock.  It's layered on Soft Suede card stock and pierced using the Stampin' Pierce Mat, Paper-Piercing Tool and Essentials Paper Piercing Pack. 

A strip of Soft Suede card stock is punched using the Scallop Edge Border Punch.  The Victoria Crochet Trim is added, as well as Jewels Basic Pearls.

A piece of Soft Suede card stock is die cut using the Big Shot and the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits L.

A doily from the Delicate Doilies stamp set is stamped on Very Vanilla card stock using Soft Suede ink.  It's punched out using the 2-1/2" Circle Punch.  I used a Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker to color in some of the details, as well as a Soft Suede Marker.  I added a few of the Jewels Basic Pearls.  The Soft Suede Marker is currently only available in a set of Neutrals (includes the Crumb Cake marker).

All layers are attached to the card front using SNAIL Adhesive.

Joyous Celebrations Meets Snow Festival DSP

Hi Stamping Friends,

It feels so good to get back to stamping after a family visit up North.  We had much to be thankful for as our son's family welcomed their third son on November 14th.  Now they have three little boys and they are a delight!

I made this card for a Case Challenge over on SUDSOL.  We are given a card pictured in Stampin' Success, our Demonstrator magazine, to case (copy and share everything).  Here is my version.

I started with a base of Whisper White card stock.  I ran it through the Big Shot using the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder.

On a strip of Whisper White card stock, I used "merry" from Tiny Tags stamp set, coloring with the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker and stamping several times.  Use a Stamp-a-ma-jig if you want it perfectly straight.

I used another piece of Whisper White card stock to stamp the dotted oval from the Joyous Celebrations stamp set In Real Red Classic Ink.  From the same set, I stamped the greeting in Garden Green in the oval, the bow in Real Red and greenery in Garden Green on a scrap of Whisper White.  I trimmed out the bow and greenery with my Paper Snips (love these!).  I used a Glue Dot to attach the bow to the greens and a Stampin' Dimensional to attach to the oval.  I added a Rhinestone to the bow and beside the greeting.  I added Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the oval and set aside.

I rounded the top two corners of the Snow Festival Designer Series Paper using the 3/16" Corner Rounder Punch.  Attach the "merry" strip to the bottom edge of the Designer Paper.  Punch a strip of (gorgeous) Silver Glimmer Paper using the Scallop Edge Border Punch.  Adhere below the merry strip using SNAIL Adhesive.  Add a piece of 1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon, wrap to back and adhere using SNAIL Adhesive.  Tie a small bow and attach using a Glue Dot.  Add Dimensionals to the back and adhere to the card front.  Add the oval element.  Accent with Dazzling Details as desired. 

The Silver Glimmer Paper is gorgeous and adds so much sparkle.  A photo below shows gray and does not do it justice.  It is white/clear, like a sheet of diamonds in real life!  I love it!

Googly Ghouls Meets MOJO263

Hi Stamping Friends,

Today's card shares two challenges.  The first is a Stamp Set Challenge on SUDSOL using the Googly Ghouls stamp set and the second is the Mojo Monday 263 Sketch Challenge.

The card base is Basic Black card stock cut 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2".  A piece of Tangerine Tango card stock is paper pierced using the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, Paper-Piercing Tool and Stampin' Pierce Mat.  

More Mustard card stock is punched using the 2-1/2" Circle Punch and paper pierced using the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack.

A strip of Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP is layered on the Tangerine Tango card stock.  A strip of Basic Gray card stock is layered on this.

I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp "happy halloween", from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, on Very Vanilla card stock and punched with the Curly Label Punch.  It's tucked behind the designer paper strip before adhering firmly.

The bat from the Googly Ghouls stamp set is stamped in Basic Black ink on Very Vanilla card stock.  It's punched out using the 1-3/8" Circle Punch and layered on a Basic Black 1-3/4" Circle Punch.  This is attached to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.  I used a Tangerine Tango Stampin' Write Marker to color "Boo" from the Googly Ghouls stamp.  I outlined the letters using a Basic Black Marker and trimmed out using Paper Snips.  This is attached using Stampin' Dimensionals.

A Brights Designer Button is threaded with Linen Thread tied in a bow.  This is attached to the card using Glue Dots.

Ghoulishly Googlies Designer Kit Treat Bag

Hi Stamping Friends,

Here's a little treat bag I made using the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit and the Googly Ghouls stamp set on page 27 of the Holiday Catalog.  You can make it simple or step it up a bit, which I did for some special people.

The Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit comes with:

• 20 printed, double-sided tags, 10 each of 2 designs
• 10 glassine bags with die-cut edges - each 3" x 5" x 1-1/2"
• 50 adhesive-backed googly eyes - each 5mm

The sample shows candy corn in the bag, but I used Fall colored M&Ms.

I took one of the circle tags and colored the border using a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.  I colored the spider from the Googly Ghouls stamp set using the Basic Black Marker, as well.  This is layered on a punched 2-3/8" Scallop Circle using Pumpkin Pie card stock.  Add googly eyes after adhering to the scallop circle.

I stamped "Boo!" from the Tiny Tags stamp set on scraps of Pumpkin Pie and Lucky Limeade card stock and punched using the Jewelry Tag Punch.

I punched holes using the 1/16" Circle Handheld Punch (you could use a paper piercing tool) and threaded the Baker's Twine through the "Boo!" tags and the spider tag.  The best way I have found to do this is to use one of the Floss Threaders.  It's like a giant eyed, flexible needle and it makes it so easy.  Tie the Baker's Twine in a bow and attach to the bag using Glue Dots. I did put the candy in a small baggie and tied it with a piece of the Pumpkin Pie 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon before placing in the glassine bag.

Curly Cute Meets Festival of Prints

Here's a card I made for a CASE (copy and share everything) Challenge over on SUDSOL.  If you are a Stampin' Up! The card base is Crumb Cake card stock.  I ran the front through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder (love this folder).

The Holiday Catalog has a cute stack of designer papers called Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack on Pg. 20.  There are 48 sheets, 4-1/2" x 6-1/2", 4 each of 12 double-sided designs - something for everyone and not all holiday specific.

I cut my strip 1-1/2" x 5" and used my Paper Snips to create the dove-tailed end.  This is attached to the card front using a generous amount of SNAIL Adhesive.  I like to use additional adhesive when attaching a piece to a heavily embossed layer.

"Thinking of You" is from the stamp set, Curly Cute.  It's stamped on Very Vanilla card stock using Raspberry Ripple classic ink.  A strip of Raspberry Ripple card stock was punched using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch to create a decorative edge for the greeting panel.  This is attached using SNAIL Adhesive.

A single knot made with the 3/8" Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon is attached using a Glue Dot.

Finally, I've added a string of Jewels Basic Pearls.

This was so fast and easy, I've also made some 3" x 3" versions of this card using the same supplies with the exception of the greeting.  That comes from the stamp set, Fabulous Phrases.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the words evenly.

Howlstooth & Scaringbone Birthday

Hi Stamping Friends,

Here's a card I made in response to a sketch challenge over on SUDSOL.  Included in the Holiday Catalog is an fantastic collection of designer series paper called Howlstooth & Scaringboone Designer Series Paper.  Isn't that a great name?  The coordinating colors for this collection are Basic Black, Basic Gray, More Mustard, Tangerine Tango and Very Vanilla; and, as you can see, it's not just for Halloween.

I chose Basic Gray as the card base.  Next layer up, I wanted a narrow margin of Very Vanilla card stock to lighten things up a bit.  I added a layer of More Mustard card stock to that.  Finally, I ran another piece of Basic Gray through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  These layers are all adhered together using SNAIL Adhesive.  

I added a strip of the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper.  I used a strip of Very Vanilla card stock and stamped 'happy birthday' from the stamp set, A Word For You.  I used a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to color just the happy birthday portion.  I snipped the end with my Paper Snips and used SNAIL to adhere the end that will be hidden by the flower.

To make the flower, I punched five 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punches.  I used one of the More Mustard patterns from the Regals Designer Series Paper Stacks.   Spritz with water and crumple them up.  Very carefully open them back up and let dry.  When dry, stack them, pierce or punch a hole in the center and add a brad (I added a gorgeous Antique Brad).  Squeeze the paper up around the brad and fuss with it a bit until you like the look.  I used several Glue Dots to attach it to the card over the end of the banner.

Chock Full of Cheer Meets Be Of Good Cheer Again

Hi Stamping Friends,

Here's another Christmas card based on a sketch challenge over on Sudsol.  I'm just loving the Chock Full of Cheer stamp set and it's coordinating Designer Series Paper, Be Of Good Cheer.  It's a fast and easy card...simple yet elegant and easy to reproduce.  You can see two other cards using this stamp set here and here.

The card base is Very Vanilla card stock.  The next layer is Cherry Cobbler card stock.  A piece of Very Vanilla card stock has been run through the Big Shot using the Petals-A-Plenty Embossing Folder.  This is attached to the Cherry Cobbler using a generous amount of SNAIL.

A strip of Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper is layered on Cherry Cobbler card stock and attached using a generous amount of SNAIL.

The ornament stamp from Chock Full of Cheer is stamped twice on Very Vanilla  - once using Cherry Cobbler classic ink and once using Gumball Green classic ink.  I used the 1-3/4" Circle Punch for the ornament.  I used the 1" Circle Punch to punch out the center of the ornament.  I did trim a little closer to the line on the Gumball Green center, but you could use Cherry Cobbler and you wouldn't have to trim.  It would blend right in.  These two pieces use Stampin' Dimensionals to layer and attach to the card front.  Clear Block "D" works for all the stamps I used.

I made a small bow using the Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon and attached using a Mini Glue Dot.  Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon would also work well.  I later added a Jewels Basic Pearl to the center.

You could use any combination of colors for this card, as well as any Embossing Folder and it would be beautiful.  I did stamp the inside with a sentiment from the new More Merry Messages, before attaching the layers to the card front...just in case :o).
