Hi Stamping Friends,
Have you received your Holiday Catalog from Stampin' Up! yet? Isn't it awesome? If you haven't, you can click the buttons under Catalogs in the far right side bar. The top one is the catalog and the one below shows the items in the store for an up close look.
Today I'm using the Festival of Trees Stamp Set (a Photopolymer set), as well as the Good Greetings Stamp Set. The Good Greetings set is an exclusive set for Hostesses only, FREE with a qualifying order. It is awesome and has a greeting for all your holiday occasions. Does that mean you have to host a party? Nope! You can collect orders from family and friends, co-workers, yourself... but only through October 31st. Click the photo for all the details.
This stamp set has a coordinating punch available. I've also used the On Point Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, which goes nicely as well. The star from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack fits the star in this set perfectly. Here's my version of the card shown on Page 24 of the Holiday Catalog.
A couple of tips for you about making this card...
- When using the Photopolymer stamps, it's best to place your card stock on a pad. The Stampin' PIerce Mat works great or even a mouse pad will do. The give of the pad really helps the resulting image.
- When using the On Point Embossing Folder, stamp your greeting before embossing. Lay out the tree and banner to determine where you want your greeting. Then, when you place your card front in the folder, you can move it around so your greeting doesn't have a raised portion in the middle. If you emboss before stamping, you will have to stamp your greeting on a flat portion, which might not be pleasing to your eye with its location.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. If I don't know the answer, I will find it.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. See you next time!
