Print Poetry DSP Meets Perfectly Penned

 

Hi Stamping Friends,

Here's a card I made for this week's Technostamper's TSSC255 Sketch.

The Spring Catalog has a really nice pack of designer paper called Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack on Pg. 16.  This card showcases one of them.

The card base is Very Vanilla card stock.  In the next element, I've layered Midnight Muse and Gumball Green card stocks and the Poetry Print Designer Series Paper.  

A piece of Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon is added.  This piece is attached to the card front using a generous amount of SNAIL Adhesive.

The greeting is from the set, Perfectly Penned, and is stamped on Very Vanilla card stock using Midnight Muse Classic Ink.  This piece is layered on Midnight Muse card stock and attached to the card front using SNAIL Adhesive.

I die cut flowers using the Floral Fusion Sizzlit in Midnight Muse and Summer Starfruit card stocks.  I punched a smaller flower using a punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and added as contrast to the Floral Fusions.  I used the Paper Piercing Tool on the flowers and added Metallic Brads in Gold.  I die cut leaves from the Little Leaves Sizzlit and Gumball Green card stock. 

Here's a look at the other patterns in the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack.  The paper measures 4-1/2" x 6-1/2".  There are 48 sheets, 4 each of 12 double-sided designs.

Sweet Threads Simply Sent Cards

Hi Stamping Friends,

Please forgive my absence of the past month.  We were on vacation, had our whole family here (many of whom didn't feel well) and Steve and I got knocked for a loop when they left.  We are finally feeling better and I am so ready to be back in the routine.

These cards use a really cute set from the Spring Catalog called Sweet Threads Simply Sent Cards.  I hadn't cross stitched in years and found this a really fun project to complete.  You get everything you need to make 8 cards, including envelopes, die-cut pattern pieces, embroidery floss and two embroidery needles.  Even Stampin' Dimensionals are included!

The birthday card is made exactly as shown in the directions of the set.  The thank you card has an added piece of Primrose Petal, with rounded corners, behind the cross stitched piece.

The colors are Lucky Limeade and Primrose Petal.  There is a coordinating 2-stamp stamp set called Essentials.  The cards and the stamps can be purchased separately or together in the Sweet Threads Bundle at a 15% savings.

Rain or Shine Meets TSST#105

Hi Stamping Friends,

Here's a card I made for the TSST #105 Sketch Challenge.  I thought it was really cute!

The card base is Whisper White card stock.  The next layer up is Marina Mist card stock.  Then, I ran another piece of Whisper White card stock through the Big Shot using the Cloudy Day Embossing Folder.  This embossing folder has the clouds going in a horizontal position, so I couldn't fit the entire piece in the folder.  It worked out perfectly, because I had a flat space to add the greeting.

I added a strip of the really cute Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper from the Spring Catalog.

I punched a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock using the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch.  Then, I took a thin scrap of card stock and attached it to the scallop circle to create a "handle".  I positioned it back in the punch and offset it a little bit and punched again to make the "sun".  It's attached using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The stamp set is called Rain or Shine.  I stamped the umbrella top and handle on Whisper White card stock in Marina Mist Classic Ink.  I stamped the umbrella top on scrap Whisper White and trimmed it out using Paper Snips.  I added some rain drops from the same set in Marina Mist.  This is layered on a piece of Marina Mist card stock.  The umbrella top is attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Three Jewels Basic Rhinestones are added in the corner. 

Since the sun is attached with Dimensionals, I only added Dimensionals to the right side of the focal image to even it out.

'Thoughts of you...' is also from the Rain or Shine set and is stamped in Marina Mist.

Hearts a Flutter Birthday

Hi Stamping Friends,

Here's a card I made for some birthdays this month, as well as a Case Challenge over on SUDSOL.  If you are a Stampin' Up! The base of the card is Wisteria Wonder card stock.  A panel in the same color is embossed using the Big Shot and the Honeycomb Embossing Folder*.  I added narrow borders of Whisper White to the sides of the embossed panel and attached to the card front using SNAIL Adhesive.

Hearts A Flutter stamp set* is great set by itself, but with the Hearts A Flutter Framelits*, it's perfect!  I stamped three of the different shapes on Whisper White card stock and one on Pretty In Pink card stock.  I used Wisteria Wonder, Pink Pirouette and Pretty In Pink Classic Ink and die cut all the images with the Hearts A Flutter Framelits*.  Click on the photo for a closer view.

I punched holes in the three banners using the 1/16" Handheld Punch and threaded Whisper White Baker's Twine through, knotting the ends.  I attached these to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. TIP:  Use a Dental Floss Threader to get that Baker's Twine through those little holes.

The greeting is from the stamp set, Apothecary Art, and is stamped with Elegant Eggplant Classic Ink.  I added a Stampin' Dimensional in the center.  The two hearts overlap the ends and are also added with Dimensionals.  A little bow in Baker's Twine accents the left and a Jewels Basic Rhinestone accents the right.

Serene Silhouettes Meets Comfort Cafe

Hi Stamping Friends,

Today I found myself in need of a sympathy card.  I decided to use Techno Stampers Monday Lunchtime Sketch TSSC248 to get me going.

I started with Very Vanilla card stock.  I added another layer of Very Vanilla that is embossed using the Big Shot and the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I like to use the Multipurpose Liquid Glue when I use this Folder.  There's so much texture, I feel it needs a liquid glue to hold it nicely in place.

From the first time I saw the Comfort Cafe Designer Series paper, it, I loved it, so I chose to use it for the next layers.  Both elements have a mat of Midnight Muse card stock.  On the lower piece, I added a Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon bow, wrapping the tails to the back.  I also used the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach these two elements to the embossed layer.  SNAIL Adhesive was used to attach the Comfort Cafe to the mats. 

I stamped an image from the Serene Silhouettes Stamp Set in Midnight Muse Classic Ink on Very Vanilla card stock.  Next, I die cut the image using the new Ovals Collection Framelits from the Spring Catalog.  I die cut a larger one in Midnight Muse to use as a mat.  The mat is attached to the card front using SNAIL.  The image panel is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I added three Jewels Basic Pearls to the focal image.

Up, Up & Away Meets Teeny Tiny Wishes

Hi Stamping Friends!

Today, I have a card for you that uses some new products from the Spring Catalog.  I made it for a sketch challenge over on SUDSOL.  If you are a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, you can scroll down and click on the SUDSOL button to learn more about this group and how to get a 2-Week free trial .

The card base is made from Pacific Point card stock.  This is such a beautiful, vibrant blue.  The Whisper White card stock layer has been embossed using the new Cloudy Day Embossing Folder and the Big Shot. It is attached to the card front using SNAIL Adhesive.  

The banners are assorted patterns from the new Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper.  I trimmed the ends using my very favorite scissors, my Paper Snips.  These are also attached using SNAIL Adhesive.  I added a piece of So Saffron 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon using Glue Dots. 

The balloons are from the stamp set, Up, Up & Away.  I used markers to color the stamp in Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight and Lucky Limeade.  The basket is stamped using Basic Gray classic ink.  After stamping two balloons and baskets on some scrap Whisper White, I trimmed them out using my Paper Snips and attached them using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped the greeting, from the stamp set Teeny Tiny Wishes, in Pacific Point ink on Daffodil Delight card stock.  It is die cut using the Bitty Banners Framelits and the Big Shot.  It is also attached using Stampin' Dimensionals.

This card took no time at all to finish up.  Here's a closer look at some of the products I used.

Perfectly Penned Doilies Meets MOJO271

Hi Stamping Friends,

I love the monochromatic look!  Here is a card I made using this weeks MojoMonday271 Sketch Challenge.  As always, all supplies are © Stampin' Up!

The card base is Crumb Cake card stock.  Next, I layered a piece of the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack (from the Holiday Catalog) on Very Vanilla card stock and attached to the card front using SNAIL Adhesive.

The greeting is from the stamp set, Perfectly Penned, and is stamped in Soft Suede Classic Ink on Very Vanilla card stock.  It's layered on Soft Suede card stock and pierced using the Stampin' Pierce Mat, Paper-Piercing Tool and Essentials Paper Piercing Pack. 

A strip of Soft Suede card stock is punched using the Scallop Edge Border Punch.  The Victoria Crochet Trim is added, as well as Jewels Basic Pearls.

A piece of Soft Suede card stock is die cut using the Big Shot and the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits L.

A doily from the Delicate Doilies stamp set is stamped on Very Vanilla card stock using Soft Suede ink.  It's punched out using the 2-1/2" Circle Punch.  I used a Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker to color in some of the details, as well as a Soft Suede Marker.  I added a few of the Jewels Basic Pearls.  The Soft Suede Marker is currently only available in a set of Neutrals (includes the Crumb Cake marker).

All layers are attached to the card front using SNAIL Adhesive.

Up, Up & Away Meets The Mountains

Hi Stampers,

Here's a card I made for a friend who winters in Florida and lives in the Adirondack Mts in the summer.   I thought I'd make him a card showing mountains and hot air balloons you often see there.

The card base is Whisper White card stock.  I've added a layer using SNAIL, that has been embossed using the Big Shot and Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

I used post-it notes that I cut in random curves to mask for the sponging, using Always Artichoke, Garden Green and Wild Wasabi shades of green.  The sky is sponged with Bashful Blue.  I adhered this to a Whisper White mat, added Dimensionals and set aside.

The balloons are from the stamp set, Up, Up & Away.  I stamped each balloon three times on Whisper White card stock.  I used Real Red and Island Indigo ink.  I wanted each balloon to be three dimensional on the card, so after cutting each one out, I scored them vertically and folded in half. *I used a generous amount of SNAIL to attach them, gluing the right half of one to the left half of the another.  Then, I glued the right half of that one to the left half of the third balloon. This gives you the dimension and a relatively flat surface on the back side.  I glued each balloon to a scrap of Whisper White card stock that was stamped with the basket in Soft Suede and cut them out again.  This is really much harder explaining how to do it than it is to actually do it...lol.  I used SNAIL to attach them to the sponged panel.

I stamped "thinking of you" from the set, Teeny Tiny Wishes, in Garden Green ink on Whisper White card stock.  I used the Bitty Banners Framelits to die cut the greeting.  It's attached using Stampin' Dimensionals.  I attached the panel to the card front and it's finished.

* An alternative to SNAIL would be the Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Button Buddies Pumpkin Triplets

Hi Stamping Friends,

I made this card for this week's sketch challenge over on SUDSOL.  I just love the Note Card/Envelope set Stampin' Up! sells.  This card will be going to everyone who placed Online Orders this month.  I also have a 3" x 3" for orders I will be delivering.

The Note Cards are 3-1/2" x 5" and come in Whisper White.  I added a Whisper White layer that was run through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I used the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere this to the card front.

The focal image is from the stamp set, Button Buddies.  Isn't it cute?  I used Crumb Cake, Garden Green and Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Markers to color the stamp, huffed on it and stamped on Whisper White card stock.  I added a strip of designer paper from the Regals Collection Designer Series Paper Stack.  I used the "Thank You" from Day of Gratitude and positioned it using the Stamp-a-ma-jig.  This is layered on a piece of Crumb Cake card stock and is attached to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Scentsational Season Meets Snow Festival DSP

Hi Stamping Friends,

Here's a card I made for a CASE Challenge over on SUDSOL.  If you are a demonstrator and would like more information and a 2-Week Free Trial Membership, scroll down and click on the button in the side bar.

On to my card.  The card base is Cherry Cobbler card stock.  I ran the front through the Big Shot using the Woodgrain Textured Embossing Folder.

I cut three different strips of Snow Festival Designer Series Paper in assorted widths and attached to the card front using SNAIL Adhesive and leaving a little space in between each one.

For the focal image, I stamped the tree from the stamp set, Scentsational Season, in Gumball Green classic ink.  I wiped off the trunk and colored directly to the stamp using an Early Expresso Stampin' Write Marker.  Don't forget to huff on the stamp before stamping, as the ink tends to dry out when coloring more than one color on the stamp.  This is stamped on Whisper White card stock.  I punched the two right corners using the 3/16" Corner Rounder Punch.

I stamped the bow from Joyous Celebrations in Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink at the tree top and also on a scrap of Whisper White.  I trimmed out the bow and attached over the other image using Glue Dots.

"Happy Christmas" is from the stamp set, More Merry Messages, and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink. 

I used the Stampin' Pierce Mat, the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and a Paper Piercing Tool around the edge to add some interest.  I used SNAIL Adhesive to attach to the card front.

Once the card is finished, I added some Dazzling Details to the dots on the Christmas tree and set it aside to dry.

That's it!  So fast and easy once you decide what you're using and where.
