Sneak Peak at New Chock Full of Cheer

Hi Stamping Friends,

Hope this finds you well!  I feel kind of funny posting this card when the unofficial start of summer is this weekend...lol.  Here in Florida, it's felt like summer for months.  But I wanted to give you a sneak peak at some new product that will be in the new Annual Catalog going live on June 1st.  I'm using this week's sketch from SUDSOL.

The card base is one of the new In Colors called Gumball Green.  This is layered with a piece of Whisper White card stock that has been run through the Big Shot with the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder.  It's attached to the card front with SNAIL Adhesive.

The focal image is from the new stamp set called Chock Full of Cheer.  It is the cutest set!  I stamped the mittens in Cherry Cobbler classic ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock and then cut them out with my Paper Snips.  The Whisper White has a mat of Gumball Green card stock.  After layering these I added the mittens using SNAIL for one and Stampin' Dimensionals for the other.  I made a small bow using the new 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in Gumball Green and attached using a Mini Glue Dot.  All the new In Colors will have matching 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon.

I used a Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker and colored the word "Merry" from the greeting stamp included in this set, and stamped on a Whisper White scrap.  I punched it out using the Curly Label Punch and attached to the back of the focal image using SNAIL Adhesive.  This element is attached to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

This card literally, from start to finish, took me less than 15 minutes to put together.  It took me longer to write this post!  I'm determined to have my Christmas cards done by Halloween this year.  I will update the item numbers on new products when the new Catalog goes live on June 1st.

Up, Up & Away Meets ColourQChallenge #137

Hi Stamping Friends,

I have been having so much fun stamping this past week.  I hope you've enjoyed the cards.  I'm sorry that some of you have been having trouble with the Comment button.  I appreciate you emailing me about it (and with your nice comments).  I'm still trying to work that out.

Today's card uses a sketch from the Demo Group SUDSOL you've seen me write about.  It also incorporates the ColourQChallenge #137 colors from this week. The only embellishment on this card is the ribbon.  It does create a little shadow in the photo.  I wanted to make a card that was fast and easy and did not use the Big Shot...lol.  I hope you like it.

The card base is the Basic Gray card stock.  This is layered with a piece of Whisper White card stock.  A strip of Wisteria Wonder card stock has been stamped on the ends using Versamark and a balloon from the stamp set, Up, Up & Away.  It's attached to the Whisper White using SNAIL Adhesive.  The tails are added using Lucky Limeade classic ink that has been stamped off once.

The focal image panel is Whisper White card stock, layered onto Basic Gray card stock.  A strip of Lucky Limeade card stock is added.  A piece of the Lucky Limeade 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon is added to cover the seam.  This is attached to the card body using the SNAIL.

I stamped two of the balloons from Up, Up & Away - one in Wisteria Wonder and one in Tempting Turquoise classic inks.  These are trimmed out using Paper Snips and mounted with Stampin' Dimensionals. I colored the greeting with my Basic Gray and Tempting Turquoise Stampin' Write Markers and stamped on Whisper White.  It's layered on Basic Gray card stock.  I also colored the little bird stamp from this set and added to the greeting piece.  This piece is also attached using the Dimensionals.  I used the clear mount stamps and Clear Blocks "A" and "B".

Up, Up & Away is such a cute set.  It has several different greetings, making it versatile for many occasions.

Berry Blossoms Meets Petite Pairs

Hi Stamping Friends,

Here's a card I made using this week's sketch from Technostamper's Blog.  It is also for the Stamp Set Challenge over on SUDSOL to use the set Petite Pairs, a really cute set, that gives you several greetings for the outside and matching sentiments for the inside.

The card base is Whisper White card stock.

The next layer is Calypso Coral card stock.  This is a soft shade of coral that is so pretty!  This is layered on the upper portion with several of the patterns from the Berry Blossoms Designer Series Paper, retiring in two weeks!!  The lower portion is layered with a piece of Whisper White card stock that has been run through the Big Shot using the Stripes Embossing Folder.  A piece of Calypso Coral 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon covers the seam line.  Another small piece is slipped under and tied in a single knot.

The greeting is from the Petite Pairs stamp set and is stamped on Whisper White card stock in Calypso Coral Classic Ink.  It's punched using the Designer Label Punch.  To make sure your greeting is straight, stamp first and then punch.  You can get the greeting exactly the way you want it this way. I used the clear mount version and Clear Block "B" fits all the images.

I punched the flowers using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack flower - three each in Calypso Coral and Wisteria Wonder.  I punched two of another shape from the set in some of the Lucky Limeade colored print  from the DSP.  I pierced through all layers and used a Mini Silver Brad to secure them to the greeting piece.  I punched out two Designer Label Punches in Calypso Coral to make a mat for the greeting.  To do this, you cut one in half vertically and one horizontally and piece to the back of the Whisper White greeting piece.  This is attached to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Perfectly Penned Meets Well Worn

Hi Stamping Friends,

Here's a quick and easy card which can be made for many occasions.  It is so fast and easy.  The card base is Soft Suede card stock.  The next layer is Naturals Ivory card stock that has been run through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. 

A strip of Cajun Craze card stock is layered with a strip from the Well Worn Designer Series Paper Collection and wrapped with some Linen Thread before attaching to the card front.. 

Get Well is from the fabulous stamp set called Perfectly Penned.  I love the font that is used in this set.  It's stamped with Soft Suede Classic Ink on a piece of Naturals Ivory and then layered on Cajun Craze card stock. I used the Clear Mount version and Clear Block "H" will work for all the images.

Use the Mat Pack and Paper Piercing Tool to pierce three holes and add Brads of your choice.  I used Metallic Brads here.  Attach using Stampin' Dimensionals. 

Add a piece of Naturals Ivory to the inside, stamp your sentiment and decorate with another strip of Designer Series Paper to jazz up the inside.

This is a great layout and can be used for virtually any type of card, as well as almost any image!  Did I tell you it's fast and easy?

The Open Sea

Hi Stamping Friends,

Here's a card I made for this week's sketch challenge over on SUDSOL.   We are making  a similar one in class this month...clean and simple.  The card base is Night of Navy card stock.  The next layer is Naturals White card stock.  IThe greeting is from the stamp set, Loving Thoughts, and is stamped in Night of Navy Classic Ink.  Then, I ran it through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. 

The strip is a piece of the Regals Pattern Designer Series Paper Stack.

The focal image is from the stamp set, The Open Sea, and is stamped in Night of Navy classic ink on Naturals White card stock.  I smudged the water portion with the Blender Pen and added a few white caps using the Signo Gel Pen.  I layered this on a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock.  I pierced three holes using the Mat Pack and Paper Piercing Tool and added three Silver Mini Brads.  It's attached to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.  All other pieces are attached using SNAIL Adhesive.

Flight of the Butterfly Meets First Edition

Hi Stamping Friends,

By now, I'm sure you all know what CASE means.  If not, it stands for Copy and Share Everything; or it could mean Copy and Selectively Edit.  I'm sure there are many more interpretations for it...LOL.  In this post, it's a challenge over on SUDSOL.  If you are a Stampin' Up Demonstrator and would like to learn more about SUDSOL, scroll down to the button for a FREE 2-Week Trial.

So, every Monday, we are issued a challenge to CASE a particular project featured in our monthly magazine, Stampin' Success, that all demonstrators receive from Stampin' Up!

Here's my CASE.  The card base is Crumb Cake card stock.  A piece of the First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper is attached.   This strip of First Edition has an article about butterflies along with a picture, which is partially hidden.  I colored the butterfly using my AquaPainter and Baja Breeze Classic Ink.

I stamped three butterflies from the stamp set, Flight of the Butterfly, on Blushing Bride card stock using Blushing Bride Classic Ink.  I punched them out using the Butterfly Punch.  I punched three plain butterflies and attached to the stamped images.  I added Jewels Basic Pearls for the body and used Mini Glue Dots to attach to the card front.

I wrapped 1/8" Daffodil Delight Taffeta Ribbon around the card front and tied a bow. 

I stamped "hello" from Tiny Tags stamp set in Baja Breeze ink on Baja Breeze card stock.  I punched using the Jewelry Tag Punch.   I added a piece of Linen Thread and tied it around the bow. 

I made a few "drips" with the AquaPainter on the card front.

Button Buddies Meets Sweet Shop Designer Paper

Hi Stamping Friends,

I'm so happy to have some time to do a bunch of stamping!  I apologize for the lack of project posts.  Here's a card I'm sending for Mother's Day to some special people.  It's inspired by this sketch from Technostamper's Blog.

The card base is Wisteria Wonder card stock.  This is the softest, prettiest lavendar...just yummy!  The next layer is Whisper White card stock that has been run through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. 

The two rectangular elements are Pool Party card stock (another awesome In Color) that is also run through the Big Shot using the Snow Burst Embossing Folder.  The second piece is from the Specialty Designer Series Paper called Sweet Shop.

The flowers are from the stamp set, Button Buddies.  These are stamped on Whisper White card stock using Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party Classic Inks.  They're punched using the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch and sponged around the edges.  These are attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The greeting is from the Hostess Set, Happiest Birthday Wishes.  It's stamped in Lucky Limeade on Whisper White.  The ends are snipped with my Paper Snips and attached using Stampin' Dimensionals. 

A Wisteria Wonder 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon bow is attached using a Mini Glue Dot and you're finished. 

I love, love, love these colors together.  They are part of the current In Color Collection and will be available for the next year.  You will see five new In Colors in the new catalog that will be available for two years.

Unless otherwise specified, SNAIL Adhesive is used.
