Hi Stamping Friends,
Whenever someone purchases a gift certificate from me, I make a special card and/or gift box just for them. Here is one I made for a friend and customer.
For the box top, I used Stampin' Up!'s Silver Glimmer Paper from the Holiday Mini Catalog. This is a very substantial piece of card stock. You can see just how much this gorgeous paper sparkles. The base is made from Basic Black card stock. I used the 5/8" Real Red Satin Ribbon to make the bow. The ends are wrapped around to the inside. I used a piece of retired Real Red holiday designer series paper to cover the inside of the box top and the ribbon ends. I also used Sticky Strip in the construction of the box and lid for a stronger hold.
The card has a base of Whisper White card stock. The next layer is another piece of Whisper White that has been embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. The lower portion is a piece of Designer Paper from the Neutrals Patterns Designers Series Paper Stack. The seam is covered with the same Real Red Satin Ribbon.
I punched squares of the Silver Glimmer Paper, using the 1-1/4" Square and 1-3/8" Square punches. I made "ribbons" from the Red Glimmer Paper and glued to the front. I punched out blossoms from the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch to make the "bows" on the gift boxes. These are all adhered using Stampin' Dimensionals.
I'm happy to say the recipient was absolutely thrilled with the presentation and the gift certificate!
